Despite its size, ‘Kiku-shidare-zakura’ offers a magnificent display of large, deep-pink, double flowers that are almost spherical. Adding to its beauty is its bronzed new foliage that turns a glossy green before reclaiming hints of bronze and orange in the autumn.

Backstory

‘Kiku-shidare-sakura’ is an old Japanese cultivar which is known since the end of the 19th century. It was introduced into Europe around 1915.
